Legs – October 23


Normally, my leg workouts start with a leg curl variation. However, this week I decided to try something different. I took a page out of the Neil Hill training program and WOW: This one  pushed me to the absolute limits.

Leg press: Did about 4 warmup sets of 20, gradually increasing weight. Then I proceeded to two working sets. All it tooks was two.

Set 1: Triple drop sets of 20 reps. So total of 60 reps

Set 2: Triple drop sets of 20 reps. So total of 60 reps

At this point I could’ve gone home and called it a day, but then this happened:

Giant set: Squats/Lunges/Leg Extensions/Partial Leg Extensions

Squats x 12

Walking lunges x 15

Leg extensions (drop set) x 20 x 20

Partial heavy extensions x 15

I did four rounds of this, resting 2 minute rest after each round.

Giant set: DB STLD/Lying Leg Curls/Standing Leg Curls

Dumbbell Stiff Legged Deads X 12

Lying leg curls x 12

Standing leg curls x 10

5 rounds. 2 minute test after each round.

There it is. One of the hardest workouts I have ever put myself through. There were a few times where I almost lost my intra workout shake…
